We offer a full range of scuba diving courses for children from snorkelling to certification as PADI Junior Open Water divers.

Pool Parties and Youth Groups

Dive Wimbledon offers introductory scuba diving pool parties for birthdays and youth groups. These sessions last 2 hours and can take place at Putney Leisure Centre or Wimbledon Leisure Centre. In the last few months we have taught the Warspite Sea Scouts group, 8th Wimbledon Scout group, Wandsworth 82 Squadron Air Cadets and numerous childrens birthday parties.

Minimum Age : 8 years old

Snorkelling

A gentle introduction to snorkelling in a shallow pool. We will teach your child how to use the snorkelling equipment and some of the most important safety rules.

Alternatively if your child already knows how to snorkel then they can come along and practise for £10 (£5 if they have their own mask, fins and snorkel).

Bubblemaker

This is an introduction course for children too young to learn to scuba dive. It is carried out in shallow water and gives them the chance to experience breathing underwater and blowing a few bubbles in a safe and secure environment.

Seal Team

This course consists of 5 Aquamissions to be completed over 5 swimming pool sessions and teaches a few of the basic skills of scuba diving in a fun and enjoyable manner. Your child will receive the PADI Seal Team activity book, a logbook, and a certification card upon completion as a Seal Team Member.

PADI Junior Open Water Course or Referral Course

Upon certification your child will be allowed to scuba dive to 18 metres(12 metres for 11 and 12 year olds) provided they are under the direct supervision of an instructor, divemaster or family member. Upon turning 15 they can apply to PADI directly and will be automatically awarded the full PADI Open Water Diver certification.
