UK Familiarisation Dive

New to diving in the UK or just want to give it a go then we recommend you try a familiarisation dive.

DETAILS

The UK Familiarisation dive consists of two parts.

Part 1: A pool refresher dive in which you learn to use a DSMB (Delayed Submersible Marker Buoy as well as various techniques to acclimatise you to UK diving as well as sensible safety precautions.

Part 2: A dive in either a quarry or off the coast. During this dive you will be accompanied by an experienced UK diver, normally an instructor or divemaster, who will help you plan and carry out the dive.
REQUIREMENTS Proof of PADI Open Water certification or equivalent. We would recommend taking the PADI Advanced course as a prerequisite
COST £100 excluding site entry or boat charges.
DURATION An evening and a day. Normally not consecutively.
LOCATION

We use several pools in Wandsworth and Lambeth in South West London including Tooting Leisure Centre, Wimbledon Leisure Centre and Putney Leisure Centre in London. Open water training is completed at Stoney Cove, Vobster Quay or if preferred on sea dives..
